Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Corey Wells (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Train (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Train comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Rammstein - Feuer Frei kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Mike Train will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Corey Wells! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mike Train! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Train throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Train tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wells swats him away and circles back towards the center. Train has a takedown stuffed. Train goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Wells checks a leg kick. Train scores with a sloppy right hand. Wells should have avoided that one. Train fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wells manages to avoid it. Wells will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Mike Train seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Train bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Wells manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Train throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Train is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Nice sprawl there from Train as Wells shoots in. Train tries for a takedown but Wells circles away easily and Wells counters with a takedown into side control. Wells scores with a couple of short elbows. Wells decides to stand back up. Wells steps back and let's Train get back to his feet. Train looks gassed! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Wells. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Corey Wells. That's going to take a lot out of him. Some wild striking there from Train.
Train tries a low kick but Wells avoids it. Train misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Wells counters with a nice leg kick. Wells closes this distance looking for a takedown but Train circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wells drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Wells drops back looking for a leg! Train is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Train manages to kick Wells off! Wells jumps back into Train's guard. Train is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Wells tries to free his leg and advance position but Train is retaining full guard. Wells postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Train wants to stand up but Wells is controlling him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Train not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Train wants to sweep here but Wells controlling him for the moment. Wells works over Train with some ground and pound from guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Train keeps the fight on the outside. Train gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Wells drops back, looking for a kneebar! Train looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Train looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Train! Wells manages to get back to half guard. Wells slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Wells lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Train! Wells looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Train is working to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Train is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Wells looking for a guillotine from mount but Train is having none of it. Train really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wells. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Wells with the ground and pound from mount. Train is trying desperately to improve position. Wells looking to secure an arm triangle but Train defends it well. Wells has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Train sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Train is looking to improve his position.

and Wells counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Train's guard now. Wells forces his way into half guard. Wells is looking to advance position but Train won't allow it. Wells is working for a kimura but Train is defending it quite comfortably.
Wells not landing any meaningful shots this time. Train is trying to stand up here but Wells is controlling him well. Wells is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Train is just riding it out for now. Wells eventually gives up the hold. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Train tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Wells thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Wells forces his way into half guard. Train is trying to stand up here but Wells is controlling him well. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Train's guard. Wells passes easily into side control. Nice work. Wells has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Train swats away the attempt to clinch by Wells. Train stuffs the takedown attempt from Wells. Wells gets slowly back to his feet.
