Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Conan Subotai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ignaas Zaan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Subotai comes into the arena with Viikate - Leikatun Konjakin Salaisuus blaring out of the sound system. Zaan is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by In Flames - The Quiet Place. Conan Subotai had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Radbod Blank and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zaan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Subotai but Subotai pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Zaan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Subotai as he jumps to the side.
Subotai looks to throw the jab but Zaan is out of range.
No joy there for Subotai, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Subotai throws a lazy right hand but Zaan sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Zaan shoots for a double leg takedown but Subotai sprawls well. He's pushed Zaan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Conan Subotai has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ignaas Zaan.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
