Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gary Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rakharo Ko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ko comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Monster kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Patrick Alders and Aafke Stam.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ko avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rakharo Ko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ko tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Lee counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Ko looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Ko throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Ko misses with an elbow over the top.
Ko creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Ko lands an elbow just above Lee 's eye.

It looks like Gary Lee has been cut.

Lee tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ko smiles and moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Lee counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ko won't be happy with that.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lee throws a strike aimed at the side of Ko's head but Ko avoids it well.
Lee connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Ko some visible discomfort.
Ko is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Ko takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Lee wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ko keeps working.
Ko is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Lee lands a few punches from side control.
You can see the frustration on Ko's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Lee lands some shots froms side control.
Ko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lee. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lee looks up at the clock and then as Ko takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Lee smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Ko tries to improve position but can't.
Lee is looking to take a break and control but Ko is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

An elbow from Lee crashes against the mat.
Lee grinds an elbow into Ko's temple.
Lee lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Lee in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Ko is rocked!
Lee has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Ko is working to avoid the ground and pound but Lee connects with a decent elbow.
Ko is still in real trouble! Can Lee finish him?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lee scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Ko is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Lee can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
