Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matthew Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Oxbig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matthew Kane has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oxbig fails with a takedown attempt.
Oxbig has a takedown stuffed.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Oxbig.
Matthew Kane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Oxbig.
Kane drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Kane tries for a takedown but Oxbig sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Kane avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
No joy there for Kane, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Oxbig feints and as Kane raises his hands in defense, Oxbig changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Kane is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Oxbig is controlling him.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Kane throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Oxbig shoots in for a takedown but Kane shows good takedown defense.
Kane rushes Oxbig and presses him up against the cage.
Oxbig tries to pull guard but Kane won't allow it.
Kane breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Kane throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
It looks like Mike Oxbig has been cut.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kane seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Oxbig for as long as he can get away with.
Oxbig tries to hold on but Kane postures up.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kane controlling the pace for now.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Oxbig tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kane swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Oxbig shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kane napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Kane is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Oxbig's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Oxbig's back!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Oxbig just trying to survive but Kane is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Kane gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.
Kane is trying to stick to Oxbig's back but Oxbig is turning into Kane. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Kane's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Oxbig.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kane seems keen to control Oxbig's posture.
Oxbig controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Kane is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Oxbig prevents Kane from getting back to his feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Kane can't keep his opponent in guard - Oxbig advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Oxbig wants to pass the guard but Kane is defending well.
Oxbig thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kane's head.
Oxbig is looking to take a break and control but Kane is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Oxbig decides to stand and escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Oxbig showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Kane's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Kane fails in his attempt to clinch.
Oxbig shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kane defends it nicely.
Kane takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Matthew Kane is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kane tries to close the distance and clinch but Oxbig swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Oxbig takes the fight into the clinch.
Kane drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Oxbig gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Oxbig is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Oxbig lands a shot to the body.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Kane's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Oxbig leaves Kane with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Kane is trying to force a seperation but Oxbig has the dominant position.
Oxbig tries to break free but Kane pushes him back against the cage.

Oxbig wants to hit a switch here but Kane passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Oxbig there!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Oxbig is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Kane takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Oxbig keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Oxbig is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Oxbig is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Oxbig is desperately trying to improve his position but Kane has a good base and remains in mount.

Kane tries to control but Oxbig wriggling away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kane is really struggling to control Oxbig but he's trying to hold on to the position.
And that's the end of the fight!
Mike Oxbig comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Oxbig has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
