Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Samuel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rav Kapur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Samuel comes to the ring accompanied by Let The Rain Fall. Rav Kapur has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jon Samuel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, Rav Kapur! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Colin Fotheringham and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Samuel fails in his attempt to clinch. Samuel fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kapur avoids it really well and circles away. Kapur with a poor takedown and Samuel counters with a takedown into side control. Kapur is trying to get back to his feet. Samuel wants to control but Kapur is keeping him busy. Samuel thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Samuel wants to stand but Kapur is controlling his arm.
That's one minute gone in the round. Samuel looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Kapur is not content to let Samuel control the position. Samuel is really struggling to control Kapur but he's trying to hold on to the position. Kapur wants to get back to his feet but Samuel drags him back down.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Samuel shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Samuel showed some decent athleticism there. Kapur tries to roll over but Samuel keeps him under control. Samuel is looking to advance position but Kapur won't allow it. Kapur is staying active underneath Samuel, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kapur keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Kapur is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Samuel scores with a couple of nice shots. Still in half guard, Samuel seems content to control. Samuel is looking to take a break and control but Kapur is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Samuel trying to control the pace. Kapur keeps the fight on the outside. Kapur feints and as Samuel raises his hands in defense, Kapur changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Kapur should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Samuel is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Samuel wants to sweep here but Kapur controlling him for the moment. Kapur postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kapur is looking to work some ground and pound but Samuel has wrist control. Samuel tries to land a sweep but no joy. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kapur throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Samuel was covering up waiting for the punch and Kapur finishes the takedown easily into guard. Kapur throws and elbow that misses. Samuel uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kapur's guard. Nice move by Samuel! Kapur keeping moving, preventing Samuel from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Samuel tries to stand but Kapur is controlling from the bottom. Samuel trying to control but Kapur is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Samuel works over Kapur with some ground and pound from guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Samuel trying to control but Kapur is working from the bottom. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Samuel throwing strikes but missing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Samuel is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kapur is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kapur has escaped and now he's on top! Samuel tries to land a sweep but no joy. Samuel is trying to control the position but Kapur postures up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kapur would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Samuel not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Jon Samuel just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Samuel misses with a body shot.

Rav Kapur showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. Kapur is not content to let Samuel control the position. Kapur desperately trying to maintain half guard. Samuel wants to take a breather but Kapur is having none of it. Kapur won't allow Samuel to pass to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Samuel is trying to work for a kimura but Kapur is defending well.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Kapur shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Kapur was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Kapur throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kapur with the ground and pound from mount. Kapur looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Kapur with shots to the head and body - Samuel looks very uncomfortable down there. Samuel is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Samuel holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Kapur tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Samuel keeping hold of Kapur's head, controlling as best he can. Kapur thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Samuel's head. Samuel avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Kapur. Kapur lands with a punch from half guard. Kapur missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Kapur takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Samuel is trying to stand back up but Kapur is controlling him

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kapur clinches up against the ropes. Kapur landing knees to the head.
Kapur breaks the clinch.
Kapur misses with a takedown attempt and Samuel decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kapur's guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Rav Kapur comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Kapur has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
