Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ummer Iqbal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamie Franklin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Iqbal comes to the ring accompanied by Run This Town. Franklin is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Under the Knife - Rise Against. Jamie Franklin is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Ackerman and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franklin shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Iqbal is trying to defend but Franklin finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Iqbal swings for the body but Franklin moves out of range.

Franklin drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Iqbal really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Franklin postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Iqbal wants to get back to his feet but Franklin drags him back down.

Franklin swings around for an armbar but Iqbal sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Franklin's guard.
Franklin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Iqbal passes Franklin's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Iqbal wants to free his trapped foot but Franklin is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Franklin shoots in but Iqbal avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Iqbal thows a body shot but no joy.

Iqbal throws a lazy right hand but Franklin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Iqbal displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Franklin.
Franklin shoots for a double leg takedown but Iqbal sprawls well. He's pushed Franklin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Franklin uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Iqbal.
Franklin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Franklin drives through with a takedown into guard.
Franklin throws and elbow that misses. Iqbal uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Franklin's guard. Nice move by Iqbal!

Iqbal throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Franklin stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Jamie Franklin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Franklin has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
