Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between ryan white (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Giorgio Jacques (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Giorgio Jacques has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, ryan white! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Giorgio Jacques! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, David Schapiro and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! white bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Jacques closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming white to the mat! white manages to get full guard. Jacques slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Jacques's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jacques prevents white from getting back to his feet. Jacques's corner is telling him to maintain position. white wants to stand up but Jacques is controlling him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jacques throws a big right hand that misses. Jacques seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Despite being in the dominant position, Giorgio Jacques just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. white doesn't manage to clinch there - Jacques circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Jacques fails with a takedown attempt. white really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Jacques content to stall in guard here. white will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. white on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if white tries to get out of the position.

Jacques throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. white was covering up waiting for the punch and Jacques finishes the takedown easily into guard. Jacques stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. white swivels though and keeps the full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jacques shoots and misses and white counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jacques won't be happy with that. Jacques manages to get back to half guard. Jacques is doing well to control the position and prevent white from advancing to side control. Jacques wants to get back to full guard. white is taking a breather. Jacques says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Jacques is trying to control but can't.

Jacques is doing well to control the position and prevent white from advancing to side control. white seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jacques does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Jacques works his way to full guard. Good work. white trying to control the position from guard on top but Jacques is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. That could spell trouble for white! Jacques controlling from the full mount. Jacques misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Giorgio Jacques showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Jacques gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and white counters with a takedown into side control. Jacques is looking to reverse the position. Jacques is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now. white wants to control but Jacques is keeping him busy. Jacques is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked white off and has taken his back! Giorgio Jacques has got the better of the ground game so far. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Jacques sitting in guard here, content to control. white keeping full guard, as Jacques tries to pass. Jacques controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Let's hope that Jacques has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
