The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swotsinski shoots for a takedown but Phillips saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Swotsinski throws and elbow that misses. Phillips uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Swotsinski's guard. Nice move by Phillips!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Phillips accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Swotsinski drives through and clinches with Phillips against the cage.
Swotsinski goes for a takedown in the clinch but Phillips prevents it.

Swotsinski fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Phillips avoids it really well and circles away.
