Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wandy Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lachlan Holmes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Walker comes into the arena with Live To Win blaring out of the sound system. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wandy Walker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holmes throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Walker.
A punch combination from Holmes misses.
Walker tries to score a power double leg takedown but Holmes sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Walker somewhat.
Holmes lands a glancing blow to the side of Walker's head.
Holmes misses with a few strikes there.
Walker fails with a takedown attempt.
Holmes misses with the combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Holmes throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Holmes doesn't manage to clinch there - Walker circles away.
Walker shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Holmes sprawls well. Holmes wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Walker gets slowly back to his feet.

Holmes lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Walker circles away quickly and effectively.
Walker uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Holmes.

Walker shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Holmes pinned against the cage. Holmes gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Holmes tries to clinch but Walker is having none of it.

Holmes leaves Walker with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

and Walker decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Holmes's guard.

Walker tries to pass the half guard into mount. Holmes knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Walker moves into full mount! Holmes won't be happy about that!

Walker wants to finish this one by submission but Holmes is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Walker.
Walker can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Holmes is looking to escape.

Walker is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Holmes is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Walker jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Holmes manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Walker advances nicely into full mount.
Walker is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Holmes is surviving well by controlling Walker's body position as best he can.
Holmes is squirming around, avoiding Walker's attempts to control the action.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Walker dives in and grabs Holmes's left leg, looking for a takedown. Holmes pushes down on Walker's head and hops out.
Holmes throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Walker counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Holmes is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Walker is controlling him.
Walker is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Holmes wants to sweep but no luck.
Walker passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Walker tries for a kimura but Holmes is defending well.
Walker has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Holmes!
Wandy Walker overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Walker tries to control but Holmes wriggling away.
Holmes defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Walker.
Holmes is trying to escape the mount.

Walker is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Holmes has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Holmes is working to get back to half guard.

Walker landing strikes from the mount and Holmes is in trouble!
Holmes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Walker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Walker is standing up, even though he is in mount.

Walker closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Holmes did well to prevent Walker getting side control.

Walker escapes and gets back to his feet.

Holmes darts in trying to clinch
and Walker counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Holmes wants to stand up but Walker is controlling him.
Walker advances to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Holmes is in trouble now - Walker has advanced to mount!
Walker has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Holmes is forced to tap!
