Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 2, fighting out of New York, James Scott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Evan Morgan!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Bruno Lombardi and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morgan looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Scott uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Morgan has time to react.
Scott shoots in but no luck this time.
Morgan ducks right into an uppercut from Scott.
Morgan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Scott moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Scott throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Morgan was covering up waiting for the punch and Scott finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Morgan controls Scott momentarily but Scott frees himself.
Scott trying to control the position from guard on top but Morgan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Morgan is looking to stand up but Scott isn't so interested in that idea.
Scott trying to control but Morgan is working from the bottom.

Morgan scrambles and gets back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Scott loads up on a big right hand but Morgan slips the punch.
Morgan throws a series of punches but Scott moves out of range.
Scott is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Morgan.
Morgan throws a body punch but Scott moves out of range.
Evan Morgan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Scott avoids a punch combination nicely.
Scott keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Scott takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Morgan slaps away a takedown attempt from Scott, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Morgan lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Scott circles away quickly and effectively.
Scott looks to land a left hand but Morgan moved out of range nicely.
Morgan slips a jab from Scott.
Scott missing with a left hand there. Morgan was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Evan Morgan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Scott drops his hands momentarily and Morgan takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Scott throws a hook but Morgan avoids it easily.
Morgan lands a jab-cross combination.


Scott is rocked!
Morgan connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Scott tumbling to the canvas! Morgan pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Scott was done - good stoppage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Evan Morgan!
