Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dan Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Hylox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dan Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tyson Hylox!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Skip Squint and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hylox misses with a takedown attempt - Lee sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Hylox shoots for a takedown but Lee saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Hylox throws a series of strikes that have Lee backpedaling.
Lee waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Hylox.
Lee tries to clinch up but Hylox circles away and keeps his distance.
Lee falls off balance throwing a combination

and Hylox counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lee won't be happy with that.
Hylox trying to control the position but Lee is working away.
Lee on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lee tries to get out of the position.
Lee is looking to get back to his feet here but Hylox is keeping cool and he's managed to take Lee's back.

Hylox is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Lee defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Hylox thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Hylox trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Hylox punches the canvas rather than the man.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Hylox is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Lee might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lee has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Hylox controlling the positon.
Lee prevents Hylox from getting a body triangle.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Despite being in the dominant position, Tyson Hylox just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lee walks into a straight right hand from Hylox.
Hylox throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lee's waist but Lee gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hylox off to one side.
Dan Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyson Hylox.
Hylox shoots in looking for a takedown. Lee tries to sprawl out of it but Hylox keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lee manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Hylox counters with a straight right hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

and Hylox connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Dan Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lee wants to clinch
enabling Hylox to counter with a crisp jab.

Hylox shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Hylox was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Poor strikes thrown by Hylox there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Hylox misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Hylox is working for a guillotine from mount but Lee frees his head quite easily.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Hylox stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Hylox scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Hylox circles away from the clinch attempt
letting Hylox counter with a right hand.
Hylox fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Lee really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...
Lee swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Hylox counters with a two punch combo.
Hylox shoots for a takedown but Lee saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Lee keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Dan Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyson Hylox.

Hylox feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Hylox is breathing heavily.

Hylox trying to control but Lee is working from the bottom.
Hylox pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lee is keeping the position for now.
Hylox sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lee's guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Hylox is controlling the pace.

Lee has one foot on Hylox's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tyson Hylox showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Hylox shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lee defends it nicely.
Hylox fails to land the takedown.
Lee misses with a double jab

and Hylox counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hylox.
Hylox passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Lee prevents Hylox from improving position.
Hylox working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.

Lee is pushing Hylox's head away, looking to escape. Hylox manages to hold on to the position though.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Hylox wants to control but Lee is keeping him busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Lee misses with a shot to the body
and Hylox counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Hylox rushes Lee and presses him up against the cage.
Lee gets underhooks to prevent Hylox's takedown attempt.
Dan Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyson Hylox.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Lee breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Lee closes the distance and pushes Hylox back into the cage.

Lee escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dan Lee has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Lee missing with a left hand there. Hylox was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Hylox scores with a jab to the head.
Lee stuffs the takedown.
Lee moves in looking to clinch but Hylox pushes him off.
Lee throws a left and a right that both miss
and Hylox counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Hylox bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Hylox shoots for a takedown but Lee saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Lee tries to close the distance and clinch but Hylox swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Hylox.
Hylox fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Lee misses with a double jab
and Hylox counters with a series of strikes. Lee will be more careful next time no doubt.

Tyson Hylox has got the better of the ground game so far.

Hylox wants to control but Lee is keeping him busy.
Lee pushes Hylox away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Hylox gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

And that's the end of the fight!
Tyson Hylox comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Hylox winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
