Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between thaigo sylvania (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Bailey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
sylvania throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
sylvania jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Bailey misses the jab.
sylvania wants to clinch up but Bailey keeps it at a distance.
sylvania misses with a two punch combination.
Bailey gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
sylvania is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Bailey gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Bailey breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

sylvania is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Bailey content just to control the position here.

Bailey really doesn't want to stay on the ground with sylvania. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

sylvania's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bailey accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

sylvania has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Bailey works to full guard.
Bailey wants to sweep here but sylvania controlling him for the moment.

James Bailey showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

and Bailey counters with a left and a right that stings sylvania.
sylvania shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than sylvania was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Bailey just trying to survive but sylvania is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
