PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sammy Hagar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Austin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Sammy Hagar has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Sammy Hagar seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steve Austin!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Anthony Taglia and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Austin there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Hagar misses with a wild combination.

Austin wants to improve his position but Hagar is controlling well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hagar changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Austin tries to avoid it but Hagar manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Austin to the ground. Austin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Sammy Hagar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hagar fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Austin looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Hagar shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Austin but Austin pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Austin misses with a series of wild punches.
Austin throws a series of strikes that have Hagar backpedaling.
Austin stuffs the takedown attempt from Hagar. Hagar gets slowly back to his feet.
Austin misses with a low kick.
Nice uppercut lands for Austin. That snapped Hagar's head back.

Hagar looks to throw the jab but Austin is out of range.

Steve Austin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Austin circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hagar tries to score a power double leg takedown but Austin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hagar somewhat.

Hagar has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Austin!

Hagar sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Austin taps out!
