Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sonneillon Theliel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Rhodes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sonneillon Theliel had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Theliel closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rhodes circles away.

Rhodes looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Theliel!
Rhodes wants to take his opponent's back but Theliel doesn't allow it.

Rhodes is going olschool here, as he tries to force Theliel to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Theliel shrugs it off.

Rhodes stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

Theliel feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Theliel accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Rhodes had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Theliel defends it easily.
Theliel keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Rhodes's head.

Theliel thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Rhodes has Theliel pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Theliel manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Rhodes drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Rhodes drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Theliel gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Sonneillon Theliel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Will Rhodes.

Rhodes is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Theliel is just riding it out for now. Rhodes eventually gives up the hold.
