Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Damon Rekker!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Rekker fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Rekker tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Johnson was well out of range. Poor timing from Rekker.
Rekker lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Johnson circles away quickly and effectively.
Rekker looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Johnson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Rekker.

Johnson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Johnson for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

Rekker is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Johnson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Johnson has escaped and now he's on top!
Johnson wants to control from the top but Rekker keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rekker is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Johnson is looking to stand up but Rekker won't let him.

Johnson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rekker on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Johnson wants to get up but he can't break Rekker's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Rekker goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Johnson rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Rekker's guard! Nice work there by Johnson!

David Johnson showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Johnson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
