Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jan Banan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fred Joe! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Banan shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Joe manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Joe manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Banan manages to get himself to full guard.
Banan on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Banan tries to get out of the position. Banan with a couple of shots from the bottom there - nothing Joe can't handle though.
Joe is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Joe won't allow Banan to sweep him here. Banan utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Banan keeping full guard, as Joe tries to pass. Banan lands some strikes from the bottom. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Banan gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Joe counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
