Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crook throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Crook sizes up Cruz with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Cruz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Crook's waist but Crook gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cruz off to one side.
Cruz takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Crook blocks a head kick by Cruz.
Crook tries a head kick but it misses.
Crook is looking to chop away at Cruz's legs.
Cruz misses with a straight right.
Crook pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Crook looks for the body kick but Cruz saw that one coming.
Crook stuffs the takedown attempt from Cruz. Cruz gets slowly back to his feet.
Crook changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Crook needs to keep his hands up - Cruz had a free shot at his head there.
Cruz on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Cruz doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Cruz is breathing heavily.

Cruz throws the left hand but Crook avoids the punch easily.
Cruz takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Crook lands with an overhand left.
