Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Daniel Cesar and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
alves shoots for a takedown but da Silva saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
da Silva tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
da Silva throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by alves.
alves tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
da Silva gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and alves counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
alves moves into the clinch successfully.
da Silva wants to break free but alves has control.
alves stalling against the cage.
da Silva tries to circle away but alves has him pinned against the cage.

alves is trying to force a seperation but da Silva has the dominant position.
da Silva prevents the takedown attempt.

That was a close round but I would say that Shaolin da Silva will probably get the nod.

da Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. alves tries to avoid it but da Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag alves to the ground. alves escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
da Silva dives in and grabs alves's left leg, looking for a takedown. alves pushes down on da Silva's head and hops out.

alves wants to get back to striking at distance but da Silva won't allow it.
alves drops down looking for an ankle pick but da Silva pulls his leg out and moves away.
alves shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. alves showed some decent athleticism there.
alves throws a strike but da Silva avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

da Silva escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. alves gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

da Silva chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before alves can pounce on him.
