Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between King Cobra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cobra comes to the cage accompanied by Rooster. Liddell has chosen It's Dark and Hell Is Hot as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. King Cobra has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Liddell loads up on a big right hand but Cobra slips the punch. Liddell misses with a jab, cross combination.
Liddell throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Cobra sees it coming and avoids it easily. Cobra drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Liddell throws the left hand but Cobra avoids the punch easily. Cobra throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Liddell looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Cobra misses with a low kick as Liddell jumps back. Liddell waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Cobra. Liddell throws a jab when Cobra was well out of range. Cobra looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Cobra tries to pass the half guard into mount. Liddell knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Liddell is positioning himself well to prevent Cobra advancing to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cobra not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Cobra wants to take a breather but Liddell is having none of it. Cobra trying to mount his opponent but Liddell defends it. Cobra missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Liddell keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Cobra uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Liddell. Liddell on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Cobra. Cobra obviously looking to wear him down.
Chuck Liddell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Cobra closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Cobra goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Liddell rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Cobra's guard! Nice work there by Liddell! Cobra has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Liddell has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Cobra is proving hard to escape from. Cobra looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Cobra manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Liddell avoids a series of strikes thrown by Cobra.
Cobra looking to ground and pound but Liddell is blocking nicely. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Cobra cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
It looks like Chuck Liddell has been cut. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Cobra sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Cobra lands with some strikes. Cobra wants to control the pace but Liddell is squirming around nicely. Cobra goes for an armbar but Liddell turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Liddell.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cobra throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Cobra looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Liddell has picked Cobra up and slammed him! Cobra can't keep hold of the triangle and Liddell manages to pass to side control! Cobra is positioning himself to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
King Cobra dominated that round. The cut man is working on Chuck Liddell's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Cobra fails to land the takedown. Liddell works Cobra's body with a nice hook. Cobra scores a takedown into full mount! Cobra lands a nice shot to the head.
That has opened up Chuck Liddell's cut even more. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Liddell tries to control the position but Cobra now has his back.
Cobra looking to soften up his opponent with punches.
The cut above Chuck Liddell's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Cobra seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Liddell's chin but Liddell turns very nicely into Cobra's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Liddell.
Cobra looking for subs off his back but Liddell has passed one foot through into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Liddell wants to stand up but Cobra is controlling the position.

Cobra is refusing to be controlled, as Liddell sits in half guard. Cobra tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Cobra tries to roll over but Liddell keeps him under control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Cobra makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Cobra. King Cobra overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Cobra has his foot on Liddell's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Liddell works his way back into a safe position though. Liddell got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cobra has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Liddell has managed to get both his arms back between Cobra's legs - danger averted. Cobra looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cobra has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Liddell has passed into side control.
Cobra is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Liddell's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Cobra gets full guard. Cobra is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Cobra looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Liddell throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Cobra sees it coming and avoids it easily. Liddell throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Liddell throws a hook but Cobra blocks it. A head kick misses from Liddell. Liddell takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Cobra uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Liddell. Chuck Liddell is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Cobra tries for a takedown but Liddell sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Cobra dodges the punch combination from Liddell.
Horrible takedown by Cobra or perhaps it was just good defense by Liddell which made him look bad. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cobra staying out of range there. Liddell might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Cobra comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. A slow jab from Liddell misses its intended target. Cobra staying out of range there. Liddell throws a head kick that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Liddell throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Liddell takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Liddell jabbing away but nothing is landing. Cobra drives through with a takedown into guard. Cobra postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Liddell is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Cobra, into his guard. Cobra manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Cobra looking to ground and pound but Liddell is blocking nicely. Cobra pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Chuck Liddell's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). King Cobra!
