Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fido Dido (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jin Lieu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lieu drives through and clinches with Dido against the cage.
Lieu tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Dido just stands there and leans against the cage.
Lieu can't break the clinch.
Lieu looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Lieu breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dido works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Dido lands a jab to the nose.
Dido fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lieu manages to avoid it.
Lieu misses with a shot to the body
and Dido counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Dido lands with a shot to the body.
Lieu throws and low kick but Dido moves out of range easily.
Lieu takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Dido is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lieu.

Dido fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lieu manages to avoid it.

Lieu lands a big head kick that sends Dido tumbling to the mat! Lieu takes a step backwards and waves Dido back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Fido Dido has been cut.
Lieu ducks under a wild hook from Dido.

Dido throws a right and a left that Lieu avoids nicely.
Dido lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Lieu at a distance.
Dido throws a series of punches but Lieu moves out of range.
Lieu fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dido avoids it really well and circles away.

Lieu tries to bum rush Dido with a series of wild strikes but Dido uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Dido scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Lieu throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dido's waist but Dido gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lieu off to one side.
Fido Dido has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jin Lieu.
Lieu bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Dido really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Lieu shoots in looking for a takedown. Dido tries to sprawl out of it but Lieu keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dido manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Lieu fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Lieu wants to clinch up but Dido keeps it at a distance.

Dido stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Lieu.

Lieu shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dido as he avoids it easily.

Lieu moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Lieu avoids the body shot from Dido.
Horrible takedown by Lieu or perhaps it was just good defense by Dido which made him look bad.
Lieu tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dido swivels and escapes.
Dido misses with a few strikes there.
Lieu shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dido but Dido pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Dido throws a nice looking combination but Lieu bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Lieu fails to land the takedown.
Dido walks into a stiff left hand from Lieu.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Fido Dido will probably get the nod.

Lieu takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Lieu shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dido but Dido pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Dido avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Dido throws a left and a right that both miss
and Lieu counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Lieu will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lieu wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Dido has him pressed against the cage.
Lieu is pushing Dido up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
