Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between r r (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguelangel Jiminez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miguelangel Jiminez told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, r r! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Miguelangel Jiminez! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jiminez slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. r shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jiminez pinned against the cage. Jiminez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. r scores a takedown into full mount! r jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Jiminez is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Jiminez and r has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
r is trying to get an arm triangle but Jiminez is defending well. Jiminez wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. r is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jiminez knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. r tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no r has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Jiminez is looking to work his way out of this bad position but r is controlling him well.
That's one minute gone in the round. r is trying to get an arm triangle but Jiminez is defending well. Jiminez is trying to buck r off. r thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. r is breathing heavily.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Jiminez's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Jiminez duly obliges.
It looks like r r has been cut. Jiminez drops r with a beautiful combination! r stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Jiminez is looking for the KO! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jiminez clinches up with r and pushes him back against the ropes. Jiminez lands a hook to the side of the head.
r is rocked! Jiminez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Oh r is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Jiminez throws a right hand that r ducks under and follows up with a left that r also avoids with ease. r is holding his hands too far apart here. Jiminez throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! r is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Miguelangel Jiminez!
