Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between DJ Wen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and C Holt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wen comes to the cage accompanied by Lick it up. DJ Wen could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to C Holt's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, DJ Wen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, C Holt! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Winston Howard and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Holt shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Wen gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Holt to score an easy takedown into full guard. Holt pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Wen is keeping the position for now. Holt is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Holt drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Holt jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Holt is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Holt wants to pass the guard but Wen is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Holt drops back looking for a leg! Wen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wen manages to kick Holt off! Holt jumps back into Wen's guard. Holt wants to pass the guard but Wen is keeping the position. Holt is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Holt on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Wen. Wen obviously looking to wear him down.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Wen throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Wen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Holt swats him away and circles back towards the center. No joy there for Wen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Wen could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Holt has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Holt looking for a sweep. Not yet Holt, not yet. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Holt is on top in guard.
Holt thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Holt tries to free his leg and advance position but Wen is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Holt passes Wen's left leg - he's now in half guard. Wen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Holt on the ground. Wen is breathing heavily. Holt is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Wen sees it coming and defends easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Holt is trying to work for a kimura but Wen is defending well.
Holt is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Wen defends it well. Wen is trying to stand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
C Holt dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Holt shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Wen's guard. Holt looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Holt is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Wen looks calm but he's in trouble here. Holt gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Wen is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Holt lets go of the hold and Wen can pop his arm back in it's socket.
