Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jeronimo Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and cory Poole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). cory Poole will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeronimo Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, cory Poole! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Chad Campbell and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Poole thuds a left hand into Silva's body. Poole has a takedown stuffed. Poole closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Poole lands in his opponent's guard. Silva looking for a guillotine here but Poole defends easily.
Poole controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Silva controlling the position. Poole wants to stand but Silva has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Poole wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving. Silva controls Poole momentarily but Poole frees himself. Poole slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Poole tries to move to mount but Silva blocks the move with his legs. Poole tries for a kimura but Silva is defending well. Poole wants to control but Silva is keeping him busy.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Silva scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Poole looks gassed!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Poole wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Silva is looking to stall here but Poole recovers full guard. Silva wants to control from the top but Poole keeps moving. Silva working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Silva postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Silva passes into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Silva trying to control the pace. Poole is trying to get back to full guard. Silva is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jeronimo Silva will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Silva shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Poole napping and manages to drive through into side control! Poole tries to improve position but can't. Silva trying to control the position but Poole is working away. Silva has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Silva shoots in for a double leg but Poole sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Silva gets a takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Poole keeps working. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Silva missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Silva is trying to control the action in half guard but Poole is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Silva wants to pass to mount but Poole is defending the position. Silva is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Poole keeps working.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Poole wants to clinch up but Silva keeps it at a distance. Poole misses with a takedown attempt and Silva counters with a takedown into side control. Silva tries for a kimura but Poole is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva trying to control the action but Poole is working from the bottom. Silva is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Poole knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Silva is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Poole looks calm but he's in trouble here. Silva gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Poole is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Silva lets go of the hold and Poole can pop his arm back in it's socket.
