Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Leandro Rodrigues and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hondo looks to land a right hand but Smith moved out of range.
Hondo loads up on a big right hand but Smith slips the punch.
Smith ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Smith dives in and grabs Hondo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hondo pushes down on Smith's head and hops out.
Smith slips a straight right by Hondo.
Smith uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hondo.
Smith slips a jab from Hondo.
Nice defenses there by Smith.
Smith shoots in for a double leg but Hondo sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Hondo misses with an uppercut. Smith saw that one coming.
A big right from Hondo misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hondo throws out the jab.
Hondo loads up on a big right hand but Smith slips the punch.
Trent Hondo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith blocks a jab.
Hondo throws a lazy right hand but Smith sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hondo jabs Smith right on the nose. Smith blinks but takes it well.
Hondo throws a big shot that misses.
Hondo misses with an uppercut.
Hondo jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Hondo pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Smith tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hondo swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Smith shoots in for a takedown but Hondo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stan Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hondo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Hondo might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Hondo throws a head kick but Smith moves out of range.
Hondo connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Smith! He's out on his feet! Hondo rushes in and drops Smith with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
