Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Max Wilder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Strauss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wilder comes to the cage accompanied by One Minute Silence - Brainspiller. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Max Wilder! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Andrew Strauss! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Atkins and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Strauss fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Strauss drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wilder manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Strauss regains full guard. Nicely done. Wilder postures up.
Strauss is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Wilder's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Wilder drops back looking for a leg! Strauss is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Strauss manages to kick Wilder off! Wilder jumps back into Strauss's guard. Wilder won't allow Strauss to sweep him here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Strauss can't keep his opponent in guard - Wilder advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Strauss is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Strauss trying to control here.
Wilder wants to work for an arm triangle but Strauss is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Strauss regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Wilder. Wilder loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wilder postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Strauss throwing rabbit punches from the bottom - showing the judges that he's keeping busy. Wilder trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Wilder closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Strauss did well to prevent Wilder getting side control. Wilder is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Strauss has managed to free his arm - good work. Wilder is breathing heavily. Strauss is trying to maintain the position but Wilder is very close to passing his half guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Wilder looks to land a strike but Strauss avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Strauss manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wilder manages to get himself to full guard.
Wilder will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Strauss has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Wilder is proving hard to escape from. Strauss has gone for a leg lock! Wilder slips out almost immediately though and dives into Strauss's guard. Strauss looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wilder is one step ahead there. Strauss preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Wilder advances position into side control! Wilder landing a few strikes. Strauss is looking to reverse the position. Strauss regains half guard, as Wilder was trying to land strikes. Wilder scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Wilder working the head and body with strikes. Ground and pound from Wilder. Wilder is trying to work for a kimura but Strauss is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Strauss gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Wilder counters with a shoot takedown. Strauss fights it but they end up in guard. Wilder is looking to work some ground and pound but Strauss has wrist control. Strauss lands a couple of shots from the bottom.
Wilder scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Strauss seems keen to control Wilder's posture. Wilder throws a strike but Strauss rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Strauss wants to stand but Wilder is controlling his posture from full guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Strauss trying to control the position from guard on top but Wilder is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wilder is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Wilder looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Wilder is looking to work some ground and pound but Strauss has wrist control. Strauss working a defensive guard here.
Strauss bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Wilder's guard. Strauss tries to free his leg and advance position but Wilder is retaining full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Strauss trying to control but Wilder is working from the bottom. Strauss might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Wilder kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Wilder is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Strauss is aware though and is defending well. Strauss trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Strauss wants to stand and escape but instead Wilder has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Wilder postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Wilder landing with the ground and pound. Wilder throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Wilder postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Strauss is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Wilder, into his guard. Strauss is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Wilder keeping moving, preventing Strauss from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Max Wilder dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Strauss tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wilder swats him away and circles back towards the center. Wilder shoots and misses and Strauss counters with a takedown into side control. Strauss is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Wilder knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Strauss is looking to take a break and control but Wilder is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Strauss wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Wilder, who protects the arm well. Wilder has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Max Wilder overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Wilder is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Strauss's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Wilder is not content to let Strauss control the position. Strauss stalling away here and it's allowed Wilder to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Max Wilder is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Wilder tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Strauss is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Wilder has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Wilder! Strauss is looking to stand up but Wilder isn't so interested in that idea. Wilder in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Wilder is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Strauss is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Strauss has escaped and now he's on top!
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Andrew Strauss. Well Wilder has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
