Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Celso Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santos comes to the cage accompanied by Linkin Park - Faint. Celso Santos has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paul tries to close the distance and clinch up but Santos swats him away and circles back towards the center.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Paul.
Santos fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Santos shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Paul manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Paul is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Santos is controlling him.

Santos drops back looking for a leg! Paul is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Paul manages to kick Santos off! Santos jumps back into Paul's guard.

Santos thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Paul is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Santos is controlling him.

Santos drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Santos jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Santos is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Paul misses with a takedown attempt

and Santos counters with a takedown into side control.
Santos is breathing heavily.
Paul is trying to control Santos's posture but Santos avoids it.

Santos wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Paul, who protects the arm well.

Paul gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Paul is trying to control the position but Santos postures up.
Paul doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Paul is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Paul wants to sweep here but Santos controlling him for the moment.
Santos will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Santos decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Paul wants to control but Santos is keeping busy and won't allow it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Paul throws a looping overhand right but Santos ducks down to avoid it.

and Santos counters with a nice double leg into side control. Paul won't be happy with that.
Celso Santos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ron Paul.

Santos is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Paul looks calm but he's in trouble here. Santos gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Paul is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Santos lets go of the hold and Paul can pop his arm back in it's socket.
