Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tetsu Shiroka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Barry Allen! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Allen tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Shiroka swivels and escapes. Allen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Shiroka's waist but Shiroka gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Allen off to one side. Allen fails with a takedown attempt. Tetsu Shiroka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Barry Allen. Shiroka tries to clinch but Allen moves out of range. Shiroka misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Allen tries to bum rush Shiroka with a series of wild strikes but Shiroka uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Shiroka gets the takedown into side control. Shiroka decides to stand back up. Shiroka steps back and let's Allen get back to his feet. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Allen checks a leg kick. A head kick misses from Shiroka. Allen has his takedown stuffed and Shiroka counters with a series of strikes. Allen will be more careful next time no doubt. Shiroka throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Shiroka shoots in and bounces Allen off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shiroka has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Allen is proving hard to escape from. Allen is trying to keep Shiroka in close.

Allen looks gassed! Shiroka gets to his feet - Allen follows without any prompting. Allen shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Shiroka counters with a nice leg kick. Shiroka scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Shiroka closes the distance and clinches. Shiroka lands a nice elbow. Shiroka tightens his grip and picks Allen up, before dumping him to the ground. Allen manages to land in guard. Shiroka decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Allen avoids the head kick by Shiroka.

Allen drives through with a takedown into guard. Shiroka looking to hit a scissor sweep but Allen is one step ahead there. Allen is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Shiroka avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Allen trying to control the position from guard on top but Shiroka is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shiroka utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Allen decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Allen has his takedown stuffed and Shiroka makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Allen really felt that one! Shiroka dodges the punch combination from Allen.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Allen is looking to clinch. Allen misses with a takedown attempt and Shiroka counters with a one-two to the body. Allen shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Shiroka counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Allen looking to control.
Allen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Shiroka manages to get himself to full guard.
Shiroka might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Allen trying to control but Shiroka is working from the bottom. Allen gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Shiroka keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Shiroka goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Shiroka throws a sloppy head kick and Allen moves out of range easily. Shiroka throws a push kick but Allen slaps the foot to one side. Allen tries to clinch and Shiroka counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Allen darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tetsu Shiroka dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Shiroka takes the fight into the clinch. Shiroka breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's one minute gone in the round. Allen shoots and misses and Shiroka counters with a lovely straight right hand! Allen is breathing heavily. Allen throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Shiroka counters with a nice low kick that buckles Allen's knee momentarily. Shiroka scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Allen doesn't seem bothered though. Shiroka drives through and clinches with Allen against the cage.

Allen fails with the takedown and Shiroka counters with a one-two to the body. Tetsu Shiroka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Barry Allen. Allen shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Shiroka counters with a straight right hand. Shiroka moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Allen falls off balance throwing a combination
and Shiroka counters with a nice uppercut. Allen tries for a takedown but Shiroka circles away easily and Shiroka counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Shiroka.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Allen wants to stand but Shiroka is controlling the position. Shiroka is looking to stand up but Allen won't let him. Allen wants to sweep here but Shiroka controlling him for the moment. Shiroka postures up.
Tetsu Shiroka overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Shiroka postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Shiroka throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Allen works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Allen misses with a takedown and Shiroka counters with a left and a right that stings Allen. Barry Allen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shiroka swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Allen uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Shiroka.

Shiroka has picked Allen up - he's going for a ride! Shiroka dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Shiroka would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Shiroka postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Shiroka wants to stand but Allen has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Shiroka has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Shiroka stands and steps away. Allen gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Some wild striking there from Shiroka.

Allen has his takedown stuffed and Shiroka counters with a two punch combo. Shiroka rushes Allen and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Shiroka escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Shiroka wants to stand but Allen has a closed guard, so he can't escape. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Shiroka tries to pass to full mount but Allen defends it. Shiroka wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Allen uses the opportunity to regain full guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Shiroka looking to sit in guard and control but Allen gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Barry Allen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Allen stops Shiroka from standing up.
And that's the end of the fight! Tetsu Shiroka showed his dominance in that final round. Well Shiroka has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
