Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Numero Nueve (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddard Stark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eddard Stark struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.7lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nueve bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Nueve tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Nueve has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Nueve is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Stark knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Stark is looking for a sweep.
Nueve wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Stark, who protects the arm well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stark tries to buck Nueve off but Nueve is having none of it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nueve is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Stark off and has taken his back!
Nueve is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Stark defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
