Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Julian de Rijger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Julian de Rijger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kyle Morgan!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Patrick Alders and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Morgan.
Morgan swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Morgan tries to clinch up.

Morgan shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Morgan is pressing down on de Rijger's thigh, looking to free his foot. de Rijger is holding on for now.
Morgan performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Morgan is trying to work for a kimura but de Rijger is defending well.

de Rijger is refusing to be controlled, as Morgan sits in half guard.

de Rijger manages to escape and get back to his feet!
de Rijger displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Morgan.
Morgan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but de Rijger manages to avoid it.

Morgan feints and as de Rijger raises his hands in defense, Morgan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
de Rijger wants to stand up but Morgan is controlling him.
Morgan throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as de Rijger works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

de Rijger might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Morgan tries to free his leg and advance position but de Rijger is retaining full guard.

Morgan goes for a takedown attempt but de Rijger pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
de Rijger on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if de Rijger tries to get out of the position.

Morgan is looking for a kimura here.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

de Rijger is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Morgan is controlling him.

de Rijger wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Morgan manages to pass to side control.
Morgan wants to take a breather but de Rijger is having none of it.

de Rijger looks like he's trying to stand up.
Well, if Morgan is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
de Rijger is staying active underneath Morgan, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Morgan shoots for a takedown but de Rijger saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

and de Rijger counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by de Rijger.
de Rijger tries to land knees in the clinch but Morgan avoids the damage to the body.
Morgan drops down looking for an ankle pick but de Rijger pulls his leg out and moves away.

de Rijger gets in close and instigates a clinch.

de Rijger breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Morgan counters with a nice double leg into guard.

de Rijger has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Morgan off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Morgan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around de Rijger's waist but de Rijger gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Morgan off to one side.
Julian de Rijger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kyle Morgan.
Morgan is breathing heavily.

so Morgan counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

de Rijger is looking to stand up but Morgan isn't so interested in that idea.

de Rijger trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Morgan is looking to break free of the clinch but de Rijger has double underhooks.
Morgan wants to break the clinch but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kyle Morgan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Morgan looks to land a combination but de Rijger avoids it well.
de Rijger tries to clinch but Morgan is having none of it.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Morgan.
de Rijger wants to clinch up but Morgan keeps it at a distance.
de Rijger fails with an attempt to clinch.
Morgan keeps the fight on the outside.
Morgan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as de Rijger sprawls well. de Rijger wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Morgan gets slowly back to his feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Morgan is looking to control de Rijger's arms but de Rijger gets an underhook and turns him. Now Morgan has his back to the cage.

Morgan lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Morgan stays in close to de Rijger's body and controls the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
de Rijger tries to score with a low kick but Morgan moves his leg out of the way.
de Rijger tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Morgan paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Morgan counters with a shoot takedown. de Rijger fights it but they end up in guard.

Morgan gets to his feet - de Rijger follows without any prompting.

de Rijger misses with a few strikes there.

Morgan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Julian de Rijger has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
