Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jurgen Klinsmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Douglas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Douglas's choice of entrance music: Rubber Chicken by Caspa. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Douglas avoids the body shot from Klinsmann.
Klinsmann smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
It looks like John Douglas has been cut. Douglas will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jurgen Klinsmann seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Klinsmann tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Douglas swivels and escapes. Douglas scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Klinsmann bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Klinsmann wants to stand but Douglas is controlling his arm. Klinsmann looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Douglas is avoiding damage well.
Douglas is looking to regain half guard here but Klinsmann keeps moving and retains side control. Klinsmann misses with the ground and pound. Douglas manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Douglas is nestled in close to Klinsmann, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Douglas looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Klinsmann has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Klinsmann is trying to stand up here but Douglas is controlling him well. Douglas is trying to work for a kimura. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Douglas misses with a leg kick. Douglas fails with the takedown. Klinsmann shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Douglas but Douglas pushes him off and we're back to square one. Douglas lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Donk. Klinsmann catches Douglas right on the button with a cross. Klinsmann lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Douglas backs up against the cage.

It's a sloppy attempt though and Douglas jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Klinsmann wants to stand up but Douglas is controlling him. Klinsmann tries to avoid it but Douglas manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Klinsmann to the ground. Klinsmann escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Douglas throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Klinsmann scores with a crisp jab that stopped Douglas in his tracks. Klinsmann shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Klinsmann showed some decent athleticism there. Klinsmann wants to stand up but Douglas has a hold of him and won't allow it. Klinsmann decides to return to a standing position. Douglas throws a shot from downtown. Klinsmann moves away and avoids it. Klinsmann swinging wilding here.
Douglas takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Klinsmann swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Nice takedown defense from Klinsmann. No joy for Douglas on that attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Klinsmann tries for a takedown but Douglas circles away easily and Douglas counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Klinsmann's guard now. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Douglas postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Klinsmann wants to stand but Douglas is controlling the position. Klinsmann trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Douglas must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Douglas distracts Klinsmann with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Klinsmann wants to stand up but Douglas is controlling him. Douglas keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Klinsmann's head. Klinsmann is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Douglas is controlling him. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Klinsmann shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Douglas sprawls well. Douglas wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Klinsmann gets slowly back to his feet. Klinsmann scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but John Douglas will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on John Douglas's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Klinsmann moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Some wild striking there from Douglas.
Klinsmann looks to land a combination. Douglas sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Douglas is rocked! BOOM! Klinsmann lands a beautiful left hook that drops Douglas. Douglas tries to recover but Klinsmann is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Douglas lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jurgen Klinsmann!
