Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between joshua johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Walhead (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, joshua johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jake Walhead!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Donald Grub and Colin Fotheringham.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
johnson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
johnson moves in looking to clinch but Walhead pushes him off.
johnson fails with the takedown.

johnson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Walhead is adopting a defensive guard.

Walhead is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Walhead gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, johnson regains guard.

Walhead looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks johnson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Walhead wants to get up but he can't break johnson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Walhead drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Walhead jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

johnson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Walhead stuns johnson with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Walhead is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Walhead takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
johnson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

johnson clinches up with Walhead and pushes him back against the cage.
Walhead tries to pull guard but johnson holds him up against the cage and eventually Walhead drops back down to his feet.

johnson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Walhead tries to free his leg and advance position but johnson is retaining full guard.
Walhead has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of johnson is proving hard to escape from.
Walhead won't allow johnson to sweep him here.

Walhead throws a strike but johnson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
johnson is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Walhead is defending well for now.

Walhead drags the fight down to the ground.
Walhead can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as johnson controls the pace.
Walhead wants to sweep here but johnson controlling him for the moment.

That was a close second round but I would say that joshua johnson will probably get the nod.
That's time! johnson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Walhead has his hands clasped together but johnson extends an breaks Walhead's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by johnson.
