Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Uzamat Phunyet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ian Fifer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fifer has chosen It's My Time-Fabulous as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Uzamat Phunyet! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Ian Fifer! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Daniel Bishop and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Phunyet looks for a takedown but Fifer sprawls well. Fifer tries to bum rush Phunyet with a series of wild strikes but Phunyet uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Fifer throws a head kick but Phunyet moves out of range.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Phunyet. Fifer manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Phunyet takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Fifer is defending against the submission attempts here by Phunyet.
Phunyet sitting and controlling from the half guard. Fifer wants to improve his position but Phunyet is controlling well.
Phunyet looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fifer won't allow Phunyet to pass to mount.

Phunyet lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Phunyet looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Fifer pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Fifer looks gassed! Phunyet avoids a punch combination nicely.
Phunyet drives through and clinches with Fifer against the cage.
Phunyet escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Fifer throws a sloppy head kick and Phunyet moves out of range easily. Phunyet throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
It looks like Ian Fifer has been cut. Fifer throws a lazy head kick and Phunyet counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Fifer is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Phunyet pulls his head out easily. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Phunyet lands a nice short elbow. Fifer gets back to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Still in half guard, Phunyet seems content to control. Phunyet will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Phunyet thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Phunyet prevents Fifer from improving his position. Phunyet seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Fifer does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Phunyet trying to pass the guard but Fifer defending well. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Phunyet prevents Fifer from standing back up.
Phunyet is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Fifer moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Phunyet pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fifer is keeping the position for now.

and Phunyet counters with a big head kick but Fifer shrugs it off. Nice body kick there by Phunyet. Fifer throws a head kick that misses and Phunyet counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Phunyet prevents Fifer from breaking the clinch. Fifer takes an elbow to the forehead. Phunyet pulls guard successfully.

Fifer drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Phunyet dives on top into guard. Fifer looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Phunyet stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fifer swivels though and keeps the full guard. Phunyet trying to control but Fifer is working from the bottom. Phunyet stops Fifer from standing up. Fifer throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Fifer throws a left and a right that both miss
and Phunyet counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Fifer is lucky that one didn't land flush. Phunyet looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Fifer! Phunyet dominating with strikes here. Fifer tries to reverse the position but Phunyet maintains control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Phunyet has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Fifer's face.
Fifer is desperately trying to improve his position but Phunyet has a good base and remains in mount. Phunyet gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Fifer misses with a leg kick and Phunyet counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Phunyet fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fifer sprawls well initially but Phunyet persists and gets the takedown into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Uzamat Phunyet dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ian Fifer's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Fifer throws a lazy head kick enabling Phunyet to counter with a crisp jab. Phunyet has Fifer up against the cage in a clinch.

Phunyet manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Fifer manages to get himself to full guard.

Phunyet content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Phunyet has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Fifer is proving hard to escape from. Phunyet cracks Fifer with a solid left hand. Fifer is breathing heavily. Phunyet working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Phunyet's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Phunyet postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Phunyet lands a couple of decent looking shots. Fifer keeping moving, preventing Phunyet from controlling successfully. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Phunyet's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Phunyet makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Phunyet trying to control the position from guard on top but Fifer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fifer throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Uzamat Phunyet overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fifer has his foot on Phunyet's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Phunyet works his way back into a safe position though. Phunyet stands up from guard. Let's bang! Phunyet scores with a takedown into Fifer's guard. Phunyet has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Fifer to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Phunyet is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Fifer pulls down on the head and he's put Phunyet to sleep! This one is all over!
