Pacquiao comes to the cage accompanied by para sayo ang laban na ito!. The key to victory for Manny Pacquiao has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pacquiao smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Smasher tries for a kimura but Pacquiao is defending well.
Pacquiao parries the strikes from Smasher easily there. Smasher is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Pacquiao to escape.
Pacquiao takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Smasher misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Pacquiao is pushing Smasher's head away, looking to escape. Smasher manages to hold on to the position though.

Pacquiao's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Brain Smasher dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Smasher fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Pacquiao on the side of the head.

Smasher feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Smasher connects with a nice short shot to Pacquiao's temple.
Smasher slips a nice elbow through Pacquiao's hands, connecting with Pacquiao's forehead.

Smasher is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Pacquiao is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Brain Smasher!
