Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Fridman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fridman's entrance music is Red. A fine choice. Tom Sanchez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alex Fridman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tom Sanchez! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Valeri Chadov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Sanchez decides to stand back up. Sanchez steps back and let's Fridman get back to his feet. Sanchez drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Sanchez slips a jab and a cross from Fridman.
Sanchez closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sanchez lands in his opponent's guard. Fridman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sanchez looking to pass the guard. Sanchez throwing strikes but missing. Fridman has momentary wrist control but Sanchez slips an elbow through the middle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez wants to stand and escape but instead Fridman has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Fridman slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Sanchez wants to sweep here but Fridman controlling him for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sanchez looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Fridman passes into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Sanchez misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Fridman is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanchez looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sanchez shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Sanchez moves in looking to clinch but Fridman pushes him off. Fridman keeps the fight on the outside. Sanchez moves out of range of the body kick. Sanchez tries for a takedown but Fridman sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Fridman misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Fridman scores with a punch to the head. Sanchez tries to clinch up but Fridman circles away and keeps his distance. Fridman checks a leg kick. A nice inside leg kick there by Fridman. That's going to slow Sanchez down. Sanchez looks gassed! Fridman with a body punch. A glancing blow. Fridman with a body punch. A glancing blow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Fridman connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Nice shot lands for Fridman. Sanchez takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Fridman gets a clinch. Sanchez misses with a short punch on the inside. Fridman blocks an uppercut.
Sanchez working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Sanchez lands a body punch in the clinch. Fridman's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Fridman forces Sanchez back against the cage and clinches. Sanchez has Fridman pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Sanchez pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Fridman tumbling to the mat - Sanchez dives into Fridman's guard. Sanchez scoring with punches to the head and body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alex Fridman dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Fridman clinches up with Sanchez and pushes him back against the cage. Sanchez misses with a punch on the inside.

Fridman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sanchez fails with a takedown attempt. Fridman scores with a nice head shot. Fridman swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Sanchez. Alex Fridman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tom Sanchez. Fridman misses with a two punch combination.
Fridman throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sanchez. Sanchez has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
It looks like Tom Sanchez has been cut. Sanchez is breathing heavily. Sanchez misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. This has been an exciting period of action! A head kick misses from Fridman.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Fridman lands a right hook to the body.

Fridman lands a nice leg kick that just misses Sanchez's sensitive parts. Fridman throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Fridman lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Fridman pushes Sanchez up against the cage in a clinch. Sanchez tries for a takedown. No joy.
Sanchez wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Sanchez has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Fridman is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Sanchez goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Sanchez fails to pull guard.
Sanchez throws a punch but it's blocked by Fridman. Fridman's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Sanchez walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fridman lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Fridman is looking to slow Sanchez down with leg kicks. Fridman lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sanchez circles away quickly and effectively. Fridman scores with a hook. Sanchez takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Fridman stalks Sanchez and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Sanchez's face. Sanchez staggers backwards, shaken. Fridman scores with a nice head shot. Donk. Fridman catches Sanchez right on the button with a cross. Good leg kick by Fridman there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Sanchez wants to clinch but Fridman slips to the side and Fridman cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Fridman connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Sanchez's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Sanchez showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Fridman.
Sanchez takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fridman throws the kick towards the body but Sanchez avoids it. Sanchez with a lazy takedown attempt and Fridman counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Fridman looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Fridman lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Sanchez at a distance.
Sanchez darts in trying to clinch and Fridman counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Fridman connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Fridman lands with a slapping head kick. Fridman misses with a leg kick. Fridman throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Fridman throws out a leg kick but Sanchez moves out of range and Fridman only half commits. Alex Fridman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sanchez doesn't succeed with the takedown and Fridman moves into the clinch. A looping hook to the body misses from Sanchez. Fridman does a little dance to reset his feet. Sanchez shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Fridman lands a really nice looking cross but Sanchez seems unphased.
Fridman goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sanchez gets caught flat footed, as Fridman shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Fridman controlling from the top position. Fridman prevents Sanchez from getting back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alex Fridman dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Tom Sanchez's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Sanchez wants to clinch but Fridman slips to the side letting Fridman counter with a right hand. Fridman throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Sanchez tries to clinch but Fridman moves away and Fridman counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Sanchez wants to control the position but Fridman says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Fridman wants to pass the guard but Sanchez is defending well. Sanchez is trying to stand.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Fridman stalling. Sanchez wants to get back to full guard but Fridman has mounted him!
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez throwing hammer fists to the chest of Fridman. What's that going to do exactly? Sanchez throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Sanchez tries to hold on but Fridman pushes him away. Sanchez flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Sanchez is wriggling around trying to escape.
Fridman controlling from mount. Sanchez throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sanchez is in all sorts of trouble here.

And that's the end of the fight! Alex Fridman showed his dominance in that final round. Well Fridman has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
