Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takury Hayaghamy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chung Kim! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Ren Mimura and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hayaghamy throws a series of punches but Kim avoids them all with ease. Hayaghamy misses with a double jab.
Kim should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Hayaghamy lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Kim pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Hayaghamy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kim. Takury Hayaghamy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kim shoots in looking for a takedown. Hayaghamy tries to sprawl out of it but Kim keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hayaghamy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Hayaghamy works over Kim's head and body with a nice combination. Kim shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hayaghamy's guard. Hayaghamy pushes Kim off and gets back to his feet.
Hayaghamy throws a right and a left that Kim avoids nicely. Kim misses with a double jab
and Hayaghamy connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Kim throws a shot from downtown. Hayaghamy moves away and avoids it. Kim shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hayaghamy defends it nicely. Hayaghamy lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Kim shoots in and drives through. Hayaghamy sprawls well. Takury Hayaghamy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chung Kim. Kim fails with a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kim shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Hayaghamy's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kim dominating with strikes here. Kim content just to control the position here. Kim wants to take Hayaghamy's back here but Hayaghamy is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Kim breaks from Hayaghamy's wrist control and lands an elbow. Hayaghamy's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Kim scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Hayaghamy really wants to buck Kim off and get back to his feet. Kim fails to take his opponent's back. Kim looks gassed!

Kim won't let Hayaghamy get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Kim takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Hayaghamy trying desperately to get to his feet.
Hayaghamy is trying to stand but he's just given Kim his back. Hayaghamy has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Kim has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Hayaghamy! Can he survive? No! He's out! Kim gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
