Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Michael Ogilvy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kushin Takahashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michael Ogilvy could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Kushin Takahashi's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Ogilvy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Kushin Takahashi! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Atkins and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takahashi shoots in but Ogilvy avoids the takedown attempt easily. Ogilvy lands a nice looking body kick. Ogilvy tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Takahashi paws at him with a jab and circles away. Ogilvy stuffs the takedown attempt from Takahashi. Takahashi gets slowly back to his feet. Kushin Takahashi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Takahashi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ogilvy's waist but Ogilvy gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Takahashi off to one side. Michael Ogilvy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kushin Takahashi. Takahashi fails with a takedown attempt. Takahashi looks gassed! Ogilvy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Takahashi swats him away and circles back towards the center. Ogilvy works Takahashi's body with a nice hook. Ogilvy looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Takahashi keeps the fight on the outside. Ogilvy lands a jab to Takahashi's midsection. Takahashi drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Ogilvy fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Ogilvy feints and as Takahashi raises his hands in defense, Ogilvy changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Ogilvy trying to control but Takahashi is working from the bottom. Ogilvy trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ogilvy trying to control but Takahashi is working from the bottom. Ogilvy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Takahashi on the ground. Ogilvy is pushing down on Takahashi's leg trying to pass to half guard. Takahashi is fighting to maintain full guard but Ogilvy has managed to sneak the leg through. Takahashi moves into full guard.
Ogilvy wants to stand but Takahashi is controlling his posture from full guard. Ogilvy drops back looking for a leg! Takahashi is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Takahashi manages to kick Ogilvy off! Ogilvy jumps back into Takahashi's guard. Takahashi tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Takahashi looking for a guillotine here but Ogilvy defends easily.
Takahashi not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Ogilvy wants to control from the top but Takahashi keeps moving. Takahashi throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Ogilvy throws a big right hand that misses. Ogilvy seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Takahashi keeping full guard, as Ogilvy tries to pass.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Takahashi has a closed guard, preventing Ogilvy from standing up. Takahashi has his foot on Ogilvy's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ogilvy works his way back into a safe position though. Takahashi avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Ogilvy postures up.
Ogilvy passes Takahashi's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Takahashi is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Takahashi is not content to let Ogilvy control the position. Takahashi slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Takahashi is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ogilvy is aware though and is defending well. Ogilvy decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Ogilvy throws a series of punches but Takahashi moves out of range. Ogilvy shoots and misses and Takahashi counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ogilvy won't be happy with that. Takahashi thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Takahashi working away. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Takahashi is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ogilvy knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Michael Ogilvy will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Takahashi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Ogilvy counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Takahashi is fighting off a takedown attempt but Ogilvy is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Takahashi to the mat. Takahashi regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Takahashi is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Takahashi is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ogilvy defends well. Takahashi is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Ogilvy trying to control but Takahashi is working from the bottom. Takahashi isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Ogilvy stacks Takahashi on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Ogilvy! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ogilvy stands up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ogilvy throws a head kick that half lands.
Ogilvy with a lazy takedown attempt and Takahashi counters with a takedown into side control. Takahashi taking a breather here. Ogilvy is trying to improve his position. Takahashi tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Takahashi trying to control the action but Ogilvy is working from the bottom. Takahashi is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ogilvy knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Takahashi working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Ogilvy is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ogilvy lands a jab-cross combination. Takahashi closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Takahashi lands in his opponent's guard. Ogilvy is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Ogilvy looking for a sweep. Not yet Ogilvy, not yet. Ogilvy trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Takahashi passes easily into side control. Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Takahashi tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ogilvy can't do much from the bottom here. Takahashi trying to control the action but Ogilvy is working from the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Ogilvy has a takedown stuffed. Takahashi shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Takahashi is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kushin Takahashi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Ogilvy drives through with a takedown into guard. Takahashi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ogilvy doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ogilvy manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Ogilvy would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Ogilvy gets to his feet - Takahashi follows without any prompting. Ogilvy doesn't succeed with the takedown and Takahashi counters with a single leg into guard. Ogilvy didn't expect that. Takahashi pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ogilvy is keeping the position for now. Takahashi is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Takahashi passes Ogilvy's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Takahashi has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Ogilvy is desperately trying to improve his position but Takahashi has a good base and remains in mount. Takahashi looking for a guillotine from mount but Ogilvy is having none of it. Takahashi is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Ogilvy is surviving well by controlling Takahashi's body position as best he can. Ogilvy is trying to escape the mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Takahashi tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Ogilvy regains half guard. Ogilvy wants to control but Takahashi is keeping busy and won't allow it. Takahashi passes to side control. Ogilvy trying to remain calm as Takahashi controls from the top position. Kushin Takahashi has got the better of the ground game so far. Takahashi tries for a kimura but Ogilvy is defending well. Ogilvy can't do much from the bottom here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ogilvy is not content to let Takahashi control the position. Takahashi tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Takahashi has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Takahashi is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ogilvy is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Ogilvy is looking for a sweep. Takahashi trying to control the action but Ogilvy is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Takahashi might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Ogilvy kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Ogilvy shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Takahashi is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Ogilvy wants to get back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Kushin Takahashi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Takahashi has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
