Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jonesy throws a low kick but it's checked well by Mir.
Mir takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Jonesy throws a low kick, looking for Mir's leg but Mir calmly moves out of range.
Jonesy lands the left hand.

Mir shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Jonesy is not content to let Mir control the position.
Mir tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Jonesy.

Mir looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Jonesy pushes Mir off looking to stand but Mir dives back in and keeps control.

Mir trying to mount his opponent but Jonesy defends it.
Jonesy is looking for a sweep. Mir is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Mir wants to take a breather but Jonesy is having none of it.
Jonesy is doing well to control the position and prevent Mir from advancing to side control.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jonesy connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Jonesy scores with a jab to the body.
Pop Jonesy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jonesy tests Mir's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Jonesy displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mir.
Jonesy throws a leg kick that misses.
Mir shoots in for a takedown but Jonesy shows good takedown defense.
Pop Jonesy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jonesy lands with a right hand.

It looks like Frank Mir has been cut.
Mir looks gassed!

Mir closes the distance and clinches up with Jonesy, looking for a takedown. Mir pushes Jonesy against the cage but Jonesy circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Jonesy lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mir circles away quickly and effectively.
Mir checks the leg kick.
Mir takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Jonesy fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Mir checks it well.
Jonesy uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Jonesy scores with a shot to the body.

Mir takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Jonesy cracks Mir with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Jonesy lands a jab-cross combination.
Jonesy will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Jonesy bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Mir's head backwards.

Jonesy moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Jonesy connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Mir to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Jonesy!
