The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beard tries to score a power double leg takedown but Prennd sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Beard somewhat.

Prennd feints and as Beard raises his hands in defense, Prennd changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Beard has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Prennd can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Prennd must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Beard has his foot on Prennd's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Prennd works his way back into a safe position though.

Prennd is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Beard has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Prennd is looking to defend but Beard has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Prennd! Beard pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Prennd taps out and this one is all over!
