These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Ortiz or perhaps it was just good defense by Kometa which made him look bad.
Kometa fails with a takedown attempt.
Kometa gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Ortiz counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kometa!
Kometa tries to reverse the position but Ortiz maintains control.
Kometa is working hard here to advance position.
Ortiz lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Kometa is in all sorts of trouble here.
Ortiz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kometa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
