Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Price (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, David Price!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Glass and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua throws a head kick but Price moves out of range.
Price shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rua sprawls well. Rua wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Price gets slowly back to his feet.
Price avoids the head kick by Rua.

Rua throws a sloppy head kick and Price moves out of range easily.
Rua misses with a head kick.
Rua works the jab nicely.

Price drives through with a takedown into guard.
Price preventing the sweep.
Price not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Rua on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Rua tries to get out of the position.

Price is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Rua throws a head kick that misses.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Marcus Rua is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Price takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Let's hope that Price has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
I looks like Price might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Price should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Price drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Price forces his way into half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rua won't allow Price to pass to mount.
Price is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Price shoots in for a double leg but Rua sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Price looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Rua!
Price takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Rua tries to hold on but Price postures up.
Price controlling his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Price looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rua is fending him off so far but Price persists. Nope, Rua circles away and we're back to standing.
Rua lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Price backs up against the cage.
Price fails with the takedown.
Marcus Rua has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Price.

Price takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Rua wants to control but Price is having none of it.
Price controlling his opponent.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Price closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Rua is trying to escape the position but Price is controlling the position.
Price works to advance to full mount. Rua defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Price showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!



Rua gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Price to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Price controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Price drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Price looking for a guillotine from mount but Rua is having none of it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Price shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Rua manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Price is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

And that's the end of the fight!
David Price comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Price winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
