Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Fisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benjamin Dodd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sam Fisher looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sam Fisher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Benjamin Dodd!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dodd shoots in and drives through. Fisher sprawls well.
Fisher lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dodd circles away quickly and effectively.
Fisher throws a hook but Dodd blocks it.
Sam Fisher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dodd tries for a takedown but Fisher sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Dodd shoots for a double leg takedown but Fisher sprawls well. He's pushed Dodd's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Fisher looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dodd is fending him off so far but Fisher persists. Nope, Dodd circles away and we're back to standing.
Fisher throws a jab but it's blocked by Dodd.
Dodd checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Fisher doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Dodd counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Fisher thinking.
Fisher displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Dodd.

and Dodd counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Fisher fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dodd manages to avoid it.

Dodd drives through and clinches with Fisher against the cage.

Dodd breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Dodd shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Fisher's guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Fisher decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Dodd moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Fisher might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Fisher wants to stand and escape but instead Dodd has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Fisher knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dodd on the ground.

Dodd is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Dodd lands a decent elbow from side control.

Fisher takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Dodd wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fisher keeps working.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Dodd content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Fisher wants to control but Dodd postures up.
Fisher is trying to work for a sweep but Dodd has mounted him!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fisher is trapped and Dodd is scoring with shots to the head and body.

Dodd is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Fisher is defending well though. Dodd let's go of the attempt for now.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Fisher is really stuck here.
Dodd has Fisher flattened out and is raining down punches.
Oooh a big shot gets through from Dodd. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dodd gets his hands free as Fisher looks to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Benjamin Dodd showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Dodd closes the distance and clinches up with Fisher, looking for a takedown. Dodd pushes Fisher against the cage but Fisher circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Fisher slaps away a takedown attempt from Dodd, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Fisher throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Dodd shoots in for a takedown but Fisher shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Dodd clinches up with Fisher and pushes him back against the cage.

Dodd breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dodd drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Fisher tries to clinch but Dodd is having none of it.
No joy there for Fisher, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Dodd counters with a nice double leg into side control. Fisher won't be happy with that.

Dodd works to advance to full mount. Fisher defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Dodd lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
A nice elbow there by Dodd.
Fisher tries to hold on but Dodd postures up.

Fisher is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Dodd wants to control the pace but Fisher is squirming around nicely.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Fisher swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Fisher prevents Dodd from taking his back.
Dodd can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Fisher is looking to escape.
Dodd blocks Fisher's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Dodd thowing shots but they're missing.
Dodd wants to control the pace but Fisher is squirming around nicely.

And that's the end of the fight!
Benjamin Dodd comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Dodd winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
