Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Fayaj (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alan Shearer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shearer has chosen Drowning Pool - Bodies (Let The Bodies Hit The Floor) as his entrance music. Alan Shearer acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, William Gold and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shearer shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Fayaj tries for a takedown but Shearer circles away easily
and Shearer counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Fayaj's guard now.
Shearer works over Fayaj with some ground and pound from guard.
Fayaj keeping moving, preventing Shearer from controlling successfully.
Shearer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fayaj swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Shearer thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Shearer trying to stand up but can't free himself from Fayaj's guard.
Fayaj controls Shearer momentarily but Shearer frees himself.
Shearer drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Shearer jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Fayaj working for a triangle but Shearer defends it easily.
Shearer tries to free his leg and advance position but Fayaj is retaining full guard.

Fayaj looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Fayaj is breathing heavily.
Fayaj is looking to sweep but instead, Shearer has passed into half guard.
Shearer scoring with strikes to the body and head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shearer wants to control but Fayaj is keeping him busy.
Fayaj is trying to stand back up but Shearer is controlling him

Still in half guard, Shearer seems content to control.
Shearer moves into full mount! Fayaj won't be happy about that!
Shearer moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Fayaj has worked his arm free - good work by Fayaj!
Shearer wants to control but Fayaj is keeping him busy.
Fayaj is trying to get back to half guard.

Shearer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fayaj keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fayaj gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Shearer tries to pass the half guard into mount. Fayaj knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Fayaj is looking to control Shearer's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Fayaj avoid being mounted?
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Shearer drives through with a takedown into guard.

Shearer drops back looking for a leg! Fayaj is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Fayaj manages to kick Shearer off! Shearer jumps back into Fayaj's guard.

Shearer has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Fayaj is proving hard to escape from.
Shearer advances position into side control!
Shearer is putting a hurting on Fayaj here, landing some big shots from side control.

Shearer is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Fayaj defends it well.
Shearer seems to be working for a kimura but Fayaj defends the submission attempt.

Shearer is trying to control the action in half guard but Fayaj is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Fayaj is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Shearer is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Fayaj is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
