Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tomaz Ademak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Rasputin's choice of entrance music: TURISAS - Rasputin. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tomaz Ademak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Dmitry Maklakov and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ademak pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Ademak works over Rasputin's head and body with a nice combination. Rasputin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ademak's guard. Ademak wants to stand and escape but Rasputin is having none of it. Ademak has momentary wrist control but Rasputin slips an elbow through the middle. Rasputin postures up and lands a big shot to Ademak's brow. Rasputin decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ademak shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Rasputin is squirming around, avoiding Ademak's attempts to control the action. Ademak knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rasputin on the ground. Ademak takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Rasputin wants to control but Ademak is having none of it. Ademak can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Rasputin is looking to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rasputin can't escape the position.
Ademak lands a big elbow. Rasputin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ademak blocks Rasputin's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Rasputin is working to get back to half guard.
Rasputin wants to hold on but Ademak pushes him away. Rasputin can't escape the position.
Rasputin manages to regain half guard. Good work. Ademak decides to return to a standing position. Ademak fails with the takedown and Rasputin counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Ademak's guard now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rasputin stops Ademak from standing up. Rasputin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rasputin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Rasputin postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Rasputin looks gassed! Ademak wants to sweep but no luck. Rasputin drops back looking for a leg! Ademak is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ademak manages to kick Rasputin off! Rasputin jumps back into Ademak's guard. Ademak will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Ademak tries to strike from the bottom.
Ademak scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ademak keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Rasputin. Ademak closes the distance and clinches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ademak is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Rasputin pulls him back up using the underhooks. Ademak works on Rasputin's body with a couple of short punches. Ademak lands a shot to the body. Rasputin breaks from the clinch.
Ademak misses with a double jab
and Rasputin counters with a shoot takedown. Ademak fights it but they end up in guard. Rasputin lands a couple of digs. Ademak tries to strike from the bottom.
Ademak pushes Rasputin off and scrambles back to his feet.
Rasputin closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rasputin lands in his opponent's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ademak is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Rasputin keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Ademak's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ademak tries to land a sweep but no joy. Ademak doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Rasputin won't allow Ademak to get back to his feet. Rasputin with a nice head shot there. Rasputin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rasputin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Ademak is trying to control the position but Rasputin postures up. Rasputin lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Rasputin won't allow Ademak to get back to his feet.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Some bone on bone action there as Ademak checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Ademak tries to clinch up but Rasputin circles away and keeps his distance. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ademak tries to clinch but Rasputin moves out of range. Ademak fails miserably with a takedown attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Ademak shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rasputin as he avoids it easily. Rasputin swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Ademak counters with a big head kick but Rasputin shrugs it off. Ademak closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Ademak tries to stand but Rasputin is controlling his head. Rasputin gets back to half guard. Rasputin regains full guard. Nicely done. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rasputin controls Ademak momentarily but Ademak frees himself. Rasputin pushes Ademak off and gets back to his feet.
Rasputin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ademak fails with a takedown attempt. Ademak shoots in and bounces Rasputin off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Ademak trying to stand up but can't free himself from Rasputin's guard. Ademak wants to control from the top but Rasputin keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ademak is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Rasputin is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Rasputin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ademak doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ademak manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Rasputin working for a triangle but Ademak defends it easily.
Ademak has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Rasputin keeping moving, preventing Ademak from controlling successfully. Ademak content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ademak wants to stand but Rasputin is controlling his posture from full guard. Rasputin controls Ademak momentarily but Ademak frees himself. Rasputin has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Ademak is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Rasputin. Rasputin is looking for a sweep. Ademak tries to advance to mount but can't. Ademak tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Rasputin tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Rasputin is not content to let Ademak control the position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Rasputin drops Ademak with a beautiful combination! Ademak stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Rasputin is looking for the KO!
It looks like Tomaz Ademak has been cut. Rasputin shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Ademak wants to try and get back to his feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rasputin with good strikes from the mount here! Rasputin looking to isolate an arm here. Ademak doesn't see it coming and as Rasputin extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Rasputin!
