Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Al Batrossi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Batrossi comes to the cage accompanied by In Mourning - For you to know. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Al Batrossi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alexander James! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James blocks a head kick by Batrossi.
Batrossi takes a jab right on the kisser.
James tries to bum rush Batrossi with a series of wild strikes but Batrossi uses good footwork to avoid the assault. James connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. James fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Batrossi manages to avoid it. James misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
James darts in and out, connecting with a jab. A left lands for James. James throws a series of punches but Batrossi avoids them all with ease. James moves out of range of the body kick from Batrossi.
James lands a nice hook to Batrossi's body. Batrossi takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. James misses with a series of wild punches.
Batrossi pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. A big right from Batrossi misses.

James throws a big shot that misses. James throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

James tries to avoid it but Batrossi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag James to the ground. James escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Batrossi throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Batrossi doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Batrossi tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and James is able to avoid easily. James lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Batrossi circles away quickly and effectively. Batrossi defending well as James loads up on a big left hand. Left hook, right uppercut from James. James keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

and James counters with a three punch combo that has Batrossi backing up. Batrossi nods at James to acknowledge the strikes. Batrossi drops his hands momentarily and James takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. James throws a combination. Batrossi tries to block but a couple of punches get through. James throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
James tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Batrossi was well out of range. Poor timing from James. Batrossi throws a push kick but James slaps the foot to one side. A combination from James does no damage. Batrossi dodges the punch combination from James.

Batrossi throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but James blocks it with crossed arms. Batrossi drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

James wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. A frustrated look appears on James's face as he tries to break the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alexander James dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
James lands with a nice body punch. James connects with a jab. Batrossi walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. James checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. James rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Batrossi moves out of range and avoids them all easily. James scores with the left hand. Batrossi knows he should have avoided that one. Batrossi gets cracked with a nice right hand there by James. James misses with a two punch combination.
Batrossi has his takedown stuffed and James counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Batrossi walks into a jab. Batrossi looks for the body kick but James saw that one coming. James fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. James looks to land a combination. Batrossi sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Batrossi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around James's waist but James gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Batrossi off to one side. James lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Batrossi throws a head kick that misses. James connects with a single shot there. Batrossi throws a push kick but James slaps the foot to one side. James gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Batrossi to score an easy takedown into full guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Batrossi with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round. James looking for a sweep. Not yet James, not yet. James wants to get back to his feet but Batrossi is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Batrossi postures up in James's guard and throws a big left but James blocks it. James wants to stand but Batrossi is controlling the position. Batrossi trying to control but James is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Batrossi. James lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. James smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. James lands a nice shot to the body.
Batrossi is looking to clinch but James is avoiding it.
Batrossi swings and misses with a shot to the body and James counters with a straight punch to the midsection. James throws a right hand that Batrossi ducks under and follows up with a left that Batrossi also avoids with ease. Al Batrossi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

James wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. A punch combination from James misses. Al Batrossi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Batrossi takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
