The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Williams darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Williams wants to take a breather but Saturday is having none of it. Saturday tries to get to full guard but Williams has control of the leg. Williams throwing shots but Saturday is blocking nicely. Saturday controlling the position well. The fighters are battling for position here. Saturday manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams wants to control from the top but Saturday keeps moving. Saturday wants to sweep here but Williams controlling him for the moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Saturday is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Saturday passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Williams! Saturday is working for a guillotine from mount but Williams frees his head quite easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Saturday prevents Williams from getting the reversal. Saturday misses with a head shot. Saturday wants to control the pace but Williams is squirming around nicely. Williams working to try and regain half guard.
Williams is trying to stand up. Saturday trying to control but he's not successful this time. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Williams can do anything to dispel that myth. Saturday lands a big elbow.

Williams is looking to get to half guard. Saturday content just to control the position here. Saturday is going olschool here, as he tries to force Williams to tap using a forearm choke. That's four minutes gone in the round. Saturday wants to control the pace but Williams is squirming around nicely. Williams is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Williams looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Saturday with a poor takedown and Williams counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Saturday has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Williams should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Williams looking to sit in guard and control but Saturday gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Saturday is pushing down on Williams's leg trying to pass to half guard. Williams is fighting to maintain full guard but Saturday has managed to sneak the leg through.

Saturday thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Williams's head. Williams really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Saturday. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Saturday thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Williams to regain full guard. Saturday is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Saturday gets to his feet. Williams looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Williams drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Williams throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Saturday is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Williams looking to sit in guard and control but Saturday gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Williams is breathing heavily. Williams can't keep his opponent in guard - Saturday advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Saturday decides to stand and escape the position. Saturday wants to clinch but Williams slips to the side so Williams counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Saturday controlling Williams's posture.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Saturday manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Williams manages to get himself to full guard.
Saturday stands up from guard. Let's bang! Williams throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Williams tries to clinch and Saturday counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Saturday throwing shots but Williams is blocking nicely. Saturday stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Williams doesn't succeed with the takedown and Saturday holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Saturday presses Williams against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. A short right hand to the side of the head by Saturday. Good body shot from Saturday.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Saturday tightens his grip and picks Williams up, before dumping him to the ground. Williams manages to land in guard. Saturday is stalling in the full guard. Saturday thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Saturday gets to his feet - Williams follows without any prompting. Saturday shoots in for a takedown but Williams shows good takedown defense. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cid Saturday dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Williams misses with a double jab.
Williams connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Cid Saturday is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Williams changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Saturday looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Saturday is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Saturday gets back to full guard.
Saturday wants to stand but Williams is controlling the position. Saturday has control of Williams's left arm, preventing Williams from doing any damage. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Saturday looking to hit a scissor sweep but Williams is one step ahead there. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Saturday holds on and takes a little breather. Cid Saturday overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Saturday is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Williams must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Saturday wriggles free and stands up. Williams doesn't succeed with the takedown and Saturday counters by moving into the clinch.

Williams defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Saturday. Saturday fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Williams stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Saturday swivels though and keeps the full guard. Saturday looking to hit a scissor sweep but Williams is one step ahead there. Cid Saturday is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Williams trying to control the position from guard on top but Saturday is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Cid Saturday. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Saturday, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
