Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aleksander Povoshkyn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Creed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aleksander Povoshkyn had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aleksander Povoshkyn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Creed!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Povoshkyn's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Povoshkyn duly obliges.


It looks like Jason Creed has been cut.
Danga de danga de dang - Povoshkyn scores with a four punch combination!
Povoshkyn is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Creed.
Horrible takedown by Creed or perhaps it was just good defense by Povoshkyn which made him look bad.
Povoshkyn throws a one two combo.
A jab from Povoshkyn finds it's way through Creed's defenses.


Creed is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Povoshkyn tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Creed checks a leg kick.
Aleksander Povoshkyn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Creed shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Povoshkyn defends it nicely.

Povoshkyn moves into the clinch.
Povoshkyn wants to break the clinch but can't.
Povoshkyn is trying to break the clinch but Creed is controlling him.
Povoshkyn fails to pull guard.
Creed is trying to drag Povoshkyn to the mat but Povoshkyn just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Creed gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Creed is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Povoshkyn doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Creed.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Creed changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Povoshkyn tries to avoid it but Creed manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Povoshkyn to the ground. Povoshkyn escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Povoshkyn swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Creed keeps the fight on the outside.

That's time! Povoshkyn's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Povoshkyn fails with the takedown.
Povoshkyn throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Creed's waist but Creed gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Povoshkyn off to one side.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Povoshkyn clinches but Creed breaks the clinch

and Creed counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Creed wants to pass the guard but Povoshkyn is keeping the position.
Creed postures up.
Povoshkyn is looking to stand up but Creed isn't so interested in that idea.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Creed is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Povoshkyn is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Povoshkyn has escaped and now he's on top!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Creed drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Povoshkyn dives on top into guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Jason Creed showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Povoshkyn will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
