The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Crimson pinned against the cage. Crimson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jones looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Crimson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Jones is not content to let Crimson control the position.
Check out the look on Crimson's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

so Crimson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Crimson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jones with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Jones fails with the takedown

and Crimson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jones's guard.
Crimson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Crimson wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.
Jones is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Crimson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jones's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jones's back!

Crimson is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Jones defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
I really don't envy Jones right now.
Crimson tries to get the hooks in deep but Jones pushed the leg off.

Crimson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Crimson tries to lock up and control but Jones gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Jones throwing strikes here but Crimson is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Jones has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Jones jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Crimson is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Crimson and Jones has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Pete Crimson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Crimson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
