Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christopher Dean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The bell rings for round one and we are underway! White stuffs the takedown attempt from Dean. Dean gets slowly back to his feet. Dean looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? White is fending him off so far but Dean persists. Nope, White circles away and we're back to standing. White looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Dean looks gassed! White blocks the strikes from Dean.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dean is trying to stand up here but White is controlling him well. White stands up from half guard. White lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
It looks like Christopher Dean has been cut. Dean takes a body punch but keeps moving. White goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. White tries to clinch up but Dean circles away and keeps his distance. White darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dean gets full guard. Dean keeping moving, preventing White from controlling successfully. Dean looking for a sweep. Not yet Dean, not yet. Dean manages to escape and get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. White closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dean circles away. Dean throws a combination that misses and White counters with a left and a right that stings Dean. Dean lands with a slapping head kick. Nice body punch from White. White doesn't succeed with the takedown and Dean counters with a shoot takedown. White fights it but they end up in guard. Dean would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. White looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Dean wants to control from the top but White keeps moving. Dean stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. White swivels though and keeps the full guard. White wants to sweep but no luck. White wants to get back to his feet but Dean is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Dean wants to control from the top but White keeps moving.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. White fails with the takedown and Dean counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for White! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack White. That's going to take a lot out of him. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Dean is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, White has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Dean throws some wild stikes that White manages to avoid easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. White regains half guard. White pushes Dean off and gets back to his feet. White shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than White was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! White knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dean on the ground. White can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Dean is looking to escape. Dean regains half guard. White throwing shots but Dean is blocking nicely. Dean is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of White's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take White's back! Dean throwing sloppy strikes. White just trying to survive but Dean is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. White tries to escape but Dean has the hooks in and won't let him break free. White prevents Dean from getting a body triangle. Dean lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns White.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dean throwing wild punches that miss their target. Dean throwing sloppy strikes. White holding both Dean 's hands and preventing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Christopher Dean will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Christopher Dean's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Christopher Dean has got the better of the ground game so far. Dean tries to kick White off but White keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. White lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Dean gets back to full guard.
White has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. White stands and steps away. Dean gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Dean throws a left and a right that both miss
and White counters with a single leg into guard. Dean didn't expect that. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! White slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Dean tries to strike from the bottom.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Dean is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dean bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in White's guard. White looking to control.
Dean connects with a couple of short punches. White wants to sweep here but Dean controlling him for the moment. White kicks Dean off and gets to his feet. Dean gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and White counters by moving into the clinch. Jack White has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Christopher Dean. White lands a body shot in the clinch.

White rushes Dean and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. White really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dean has had enough of the clinch but White keeps him there for the moment. Dean wants to break free but White has control.
White has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Dean avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. White prevents Dean from breaking the clinch. Dean wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but White has him pressed against the cage. Dean goes for a takedown in the clinch but White prevents it.

Dean shoots in for a takedown but White shows good takedown defense. Jack White has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Christopher Dean. White stuffs the takedown. Dean looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dean. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Dean fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. White sprawls well initially but Dean persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Dean throws a strike but White avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Dean has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. White is looking for a triangle but Dean pushes his legs off easily.
Dean works a leg free and moves into half guard. Dean decides to return to a standing position. White doesn't manage to clinch there - Dean circles away.

White escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Dean doesn't succeed with the takedown and White counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Dean's guard now. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. White won't allow Dean to sweep him here. Dean is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. White fails to pull guard.
White drops down looking for an ankle pick but Dean pulls his leg out and moves away.
Dean shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Dean was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Dean throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dean throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Dean moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, White has worked his arm free - good work by White!

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Christopher Dean. I think Dean has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
