Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brian Picard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, whats that aboot! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! aboot doesn't manage to clinch there - Picard circles away.
Picard throws a leg kick which misses aboot's front leg but catches the back leg as aboot tries to avoid it. aboot tried to score with a low kick but Picard checks it. aboot moves in looking to clinch but Picard pushes him off. Picard throws a nice inside leg kick. A nice inside leg kick there by Picard. That's going to slow aboot down. Picard scores with a three punch combo!
aboot forces Picard back against the cage and clinches. Picard manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
aboot has Picard pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Picard manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. aboot landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Picard connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. aboot chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Picard can pounce on him.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Picard buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Uppercuts and crosses smash into aboot's face. aboot staggers backwards, shaken. Picard uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before aboot has time to react. aboot avoids a punch combination nicely.

Picard clinches up with aboot and pushes him back against the cage. Picard pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Picard throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. aboot takes a kick to the side of the head. Good leg kick by Picard there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Picard fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with aboot, pushing him back against the cage. Picard with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Picard lands a right hand that snaps the head of aboot backwards. Picard breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Brian Picard is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Picard scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. aboot tries to keep at a distance but Picard has taken the fight into the clinch. Picard will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning aboot up against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Picard presses aboot against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Picard breaks the clinch.
Picard rushes aboot and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Picard lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Picard lands a left hand.
Picard connects with a nasty looking knee right to aboot's face.
Picard lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Picard works on aboot's body with a couple of short punches. Picard cracks aboot with a nice body shot. Picard working hard to break the clinch. Picard misses with a hook from the clinch. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Picard lands a damaging elbow. Come on Picard - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Brian Picard dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Picard bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Left hook, right uppercut from Picard. Picard keeps aboot at a distance using the push kick. aboot shoots in but Picard avoids the takedown attempt easily. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by aboot.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Picard takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. aboot's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Picard lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of aboot backwards. aboot takes an elbow to the forehead. Picard breaks from the clinch.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Picard pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Picard lands a front kick. No luck with that takedown attempt from aboot. Picard feints and then cracks aboot's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow aboot down. Brian Picard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. aboot shoots for a takedown but Picard saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. The fight stays on the outside here - Picard looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Picard dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on aboot. That did some damage! aboot's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Picard moves out of range of the strikes. Picard throws a nice head kick!
A head kick misses from Picard. aboot shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Picard but Picard pushes him off and we're back to square one. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Picard escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. aboot misses with a takedown and Picard counters with a good low kick that aboot was not able to check.
