Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Earl Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ping Pong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ping Pong! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pong will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Nice combo by Simmons! Oh, that's hurt him - Pong falls to the canvas and Simmons follows him into side control.

It looks like Ping Pong has been cut. Simmons in side control lands a decent elbow. Pong is still in real trouble! Can Simmons finish him? Check out the look on Simmons's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Pong is not in a great position here, taking some shots. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Simmons working the ground and pound. Pong takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
